vinegar (i use red wine vinegar)
Mix marinade well. Tenderize the meat by pounding it to break down the muscle. This also makes the marinade work better.
Marinate meat for 24 hours. DO NOT SKIMP ON MARINATING TIME! NOTE: A gallon ZipLock bag is great for marinating the meat - just put in an 8X12 pan in the fridge.
Broil 10 minutes on each side. May be cooked in broiler or on the grill. Thinly slice on diagonal.
May be successfully doubled -- 1 1/2 the recipe for two flank steaks.
