Karla's Notes:

I came up with this sauce years ago and its a family favorite , my girls always asks me to make it when they come for dinner.

I use this sauce on alot of my recipes like my spanish green beans that are posted here also.

This sauce freezes great.

I don't measure my seasoning , so this is a ruff estimate. season to your liking .

Directions

1
Fry hamburger and sausage in a large skillet; sprinkle with garlic powder , salt and pepper.(do not drain off fat)
2
Add onion , green peppers ; fry until onions and peppers are tender , Add mushrooms and black olives.
3
Sprinkle spice packet over top of meat mixture and mix in.
4
Add tomato sauce ,water , tomatoes , steak sauce , sugar and spices and the cheese ; mix well.
5
Add whole yellow chili peppers if you want a little spicy heat. Optional.(do not break)
6
Simmer for atleast 30 minutes to 1 hr. ( I like to simmer my sauce all day) Remove hot peppers when done.
7
Pour spaghetti sauce over cooked pasta and enjoy.

My girls are the same way with mine, mine is similar to yours, I use the ground pork with hamburg, peppers, onions, etc. no hot stuff though. Parmesan cheese is in my meatballs too.
I always triple my sauce and meatballs and freeze 2 bags in gallon freezer bags, so when my daughter comes I can pull that out !
Alot of work but worth it !

I did leave out the mushrooms and peppers. No one will eat them here. It was still delicious!

Mary , I'm glad you liked it . Not everyone likes mushrooms like I do , sometimes I leave them out too when I make it for my daughter. :D
