Ingredients For jack daniels slow cooker pot roast

2-3 pound chuck roast

1 package onion soup mix
-
1/4 cup water
-
1 onion, chopped (i use two and slice them in chunks)

1 pint canned carrots (i use fresh baby carrots cooked, i dont like canned)

1 clove garlic, minced
-
6 ounces coke – no diet stuff here and i never use anything but real coke

1/4 cup jack daniels
How To Make jack daniels slow cooker pot roast

1Add water and 1 Tablespoon of onion soup mix to slow cooker

2Place half of the onions in, add garlic.

3Salt and pepper all sides of the roast and place in slow cooker (I usually sear the meat on the stove prior to adding to slow cooker, it adds color and seals in the flavor and juices)

4Add carrots and the rest of the onions

5Pour remaining onion soup mix over roast

6Add Coke and Jack Daniels

7Cover and cook on low 7-8 hours

8Remove carrots and roast from crockpot

9Make gravy from the juices and serve with mashed potatoes
