Ingredients

2-4 lb beef chuck roast
2 c beef stock
2 c water
1 can(s) 14.5 oz diced tomatoes w/oregano, basil, and garlic
1 clove 4 oz tomato sauce
4 clove garlic, whole, skin off
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp italian seasoning
1 tsp mrs. dash tomato, basil and garlic
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp lemon juice
granulated garlic and onion, black pepper to season roast before searing

A delicious diversion for your everyday Pot Roast.

 

Directions

Drizzle a small amount of olive oil on roast and season both sides with granulated garlic, granulated onion and black pepper. Sear on both sides.

Mix together all ingredients, pour over roast and cover. Bake 300° for 4-6 hrs until pull apart tender.

Serve over cooked pasta.

I just saw this on your page. This looks divine. I'm soooo dying for carbs right now that I think I'd stick some of that meaty goodness between 2 or 4 slices of crusty bread. I will make this when I come back from CO. It would probably feed me for a week. Love your recipes. And love you too!

I have been doing really good, no pasta, potatoes or rice and only a little bread. I think I miss pan roasted potatoes the most, lol.

Yeah Jamie, maybe if I weren't looking at her pictures all the time I wouldn't be so grouchy. Or if I could eat them off the screen, they'd have no calories and carbs.

I'm going to Colorado Jamie, to meet an old friend. I've never been to Vail and I hear it is absolutely beautiful. I can tell you I won't be dieting on this trip. Bring on the bread PLEASE! And I haven't gained weight, probably lost a few pounds but will surely put it back on in an instant after I eat some artisan bread. Can't wait
