This beef is so flavorful and tender. It is perfect for parties and it travels well in a crock pot. Serve on crusty rolls with slices of smokey provolone and mozzarella cheese and dip in au' jus.

Slow Cooker Crock Pot

beef chuck roast

dried italian seasonings
1 tsp
garlic salt
1 tsp
red pepper flakes

pepperoncini peppers

Directions Step-By-Step

Cut slits in roast and insert garlic cloves into slits. Put in large roaster or baking dish. Cover roast with Italian seasonings, garlic salt, red pepper flakes and peppperoncini peppers. Mix beef base with water then pour over roast. Cover and bake in 300 degree oven for 6-8 hours.
Remove beef from pan and shred. Save broth and chill. Skim fat off of broth and reheat.
Serve on crusty rolls with smokey provolone and mozzarella slices and warm broth for dipping.
