Down south, they put slaw on pulled pork to add tang. This recipe uses Hot Corned Beef instead.

Ingredients For hot corned beef and slaw

  • 8 slice
    (thick slices) rye bread
  • 2 Tbsp
    mustard(prepared,spicy brown,honey or dijon)
  • 12 oz
    thinly sliced cooked corned beef
  • 3/4 c
    deli coleslaw,drained
  • 4 slice
    swiss cheese
  • 4 tsp
    butter or margarine

How To Make hot corned beef and slaw

    Spread 4 of the bread slices with mustard;top with corned beef, coleslaw and cheese. Top with remaining slices of bread. Melt butter over medium-low heat on a griddle or in a very large skillet. Add sandwiches; cook 3 to 4 minutes per side or until bread is toasted and sandwich is heated through. Great served with chips or deli potato salad and accompanied with a dill pickle.
