- ground beef
- 1/2-3/4 c
- 1-2 c
- bread crumbs, fresh
- 1/2 tsp
- thyme, dried
- salt and pepper
- onion powder (because my kids pick out the onions)
1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray large baking dish with Pam or other spray coating. Mix all ingredients well. I did this by hand, but I'm sure dough hooks would work fine. Shape into walnut sized (1 inch) balls or larger if serving as a main dish (Spaghetti).
2Sauce(s): My husband and daughter both prefer a brown gravy with their meatballs, served over buttered noodles. I usually use a packaged brown gravy mix.
Personally, I prefer the BBQ sauce, and they are just as yummy with the buttered noodles.
BBQ Sauce -
1 can crushed tomatoes
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 - 1 c. brown sugar (depending how sweet you like it
Add all ingredients to a small saucepan and bring to boil. If everyone likes this sauce it is especially good to pour over cooked meatballs and let simmer in a slow cooker. Serve with
