Wash & peel potatoes. Slice potatoes into 1/4 inch strips and place in bottom of a large deep dish casserole pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Add just enough water to cover potatoes. Sprinkle with onion soup mix.
Slice onion and place over the potatoes. Place cooked hamburger meat over the onions & potatoes.
Mix brown gravy mix with 2 cups of water and whisk to mix. Pour gravy over meat and cover with foil.
