Janet's Notes:

This is a bun free burger that bursts in your mouth with so many flavors!

It's a sure pleaser on the table. I can't eat a whole one and end up giving the other half to my husband!

"Enjoy"

Directions

1
Pan fry your bacon in a large skillet then set aside.
Leave the bacon grease in your pan.
2
slice your onion into thin slices, like for a regular burger.
Slice in half and toss the rings in the same pan as the bacon reserving the bacon grease.
Saute until soft and translucent.
remove onions and set aside
3
Form two or three large patties and pan fry in the same skillet. Remove your patties and place on a paper plate one at a time.
4
Core and slice your avocado, circle each burger on the outside with the avocado to form a ring.
5
place some onions in the hole, then your crumbled bacon.
6
Put a generous dollop of sour cream on top of the onions.
you should be level or a tad higher then your avocados.
7
generously cover/cap on top all over your burger
8
Place in microwave (or oven) on high heat until the cheese is melted
9
Let rest for a few minutes then gently place on your serving plate.

serve with baked beans and your favorite macaroni salad or potato salad.

My hubby doesn't like buns so had to think up a way to make it where I would want to eat it too without the bun! LOL!
