Hamburger Gravy with Pork and Beans over Cornbread

When our son was young and he would have a gang of his friends over to hangout this was one of the cheapest ways to feed 4-5 hungry young men.

Ingredients

2 lb
lean ground beef
1 medium
onion, diced
2 large
cans pork and beans
1/4-1/2 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp
garlic powder with parsley
2 Tbsp
molasses
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
cornbread or corn muffins for serving

Step-By-Step

1Saute ground beef and onions until meat is fully cooked and onions are tender. Add remaining ingredients except cornbread. Simmer to let flavors marry.
2Serve over split buttered cornbread or corn muffins.
