Hamburg and Macaroni Casserole

This is another recipe from our mom who has Alzheimer disease, my sister and I are making up cookbooks for our children. What a great way to remember their grandmother.

1 1/2 c
elbow macaroni, cooked
1 lb
lean hamburg
1 small
1 large
can crushed tomatoes
1 tsp
worcestershire sauce

Directions Step-By-Step

Saute hamburg and onion, until hamburg is no longer pink. Add crushed tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce. Add 1 tsp sugar to tomatoes.

In casserole dish add half cooked macaroni, then add half tomatoes and hamburg. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over this. Add another layer macaroni, tomatoes and hamburg. Add more cheddar cheese. I sprinkle parmesan cheese just on the top of cheddar.. Bake until cheese is melted (about 30 minutes) Serve with Italian bread. Hope you like this. (You might want to add flour to your hamburg to thicken)
