A Southern CA Pub is known for the best their chili by their patrons, so I asked and shock, shock, I was given their secret!
Beer!
So I added beer to my chili recipe and it turned out GREAT!

Ingredients

2 lb
ground beef
2 c
beef broth
1
onion, finely chopped
1 clove
garlic, minced
4 Tbsp
chili powder
3 Tbsp
cumin
1 can(s)
tomato paste, small
1 7-3/4 can(s)
"el pato" sauce with jalapenos
1 14-1/2oz can(s)
tomatoes, crushed
1 15oz can(s)
pinto beans, drained
1 can(s)
guinness beer

Step-By-Step

1Brown the meat and onions and garlic in a large skillet.
2Add beef broth, seasonings, tomatoes, El Pato and tomato paste.
3Simmer 30 minutes.
4Add can Guinness, Pinto beans, and simmer another 30 minutes.
5Garnish with:

1 pint Sour Cream
1 bunch Green Onion (chopped)
8 oz package Shredded Sharp Cheddar cheese
