Ginger Beef Stir Fry

Ingredients

1 lb
top sirloin steak
1 can(s)
water chestnuts, drained
2 Tbsp
vegetable oil
3 medium
carrots, cut in 2 inch sticks
1 medium
onions, sliced
1
clove garlic, pressed
1 Tbsp
fresh ginger root, finely chopped
1 large
green bell pepper, chunked
1 qt
salad lettuce
1/4 c
orange marmalade
2 Tbsp
soy sauce

Step-By-Step

1Thinly slice sirloin against grain in 1 inch wide strips.
2Cut each water chestnut in half.
3In a large skillet or wok, quickly brown sirloin in hot oil.
4Stir in chestnuts, carrots, onion, garlic and ginger until onion is soft.
5Stir in pepper and lettuce for one minute.
6Stir in marmalade and soy sauce.
7Cook, stirring about 2 minutes.
8Serve at once.
