4 mdonions, vidalia, thinly sliced

1bay leaf

kosher salt & pepper, to taste

1/2 tspthyme, dried

1 canbeef broth, reduced sodium
-
1 1/2 csour cream, fat-free
-
2 lbground beef, lean
-
1/4 cworcestershire sauce, reduced sodium

4 Tbsponion flakes, dehydrated
-
2 Tbspparsley flakes
-
olive oil, extra virgin
-
6rolls or buns
-
36thick cut potato chips
-
sweet pickles
How To Make french onion dip burgers w/ potato chips

1Heat butter in skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions & bay leaf; season with salt, pepper & thyme. Cook, stirring often, until golden & soft, about 35 minutes. Deglaze pan with broth; cook until liquid is almost absorbed. Cool; discarding bay leaf. Stir into sour cream in bowl. Test if enough seasoning is needed; add as desired.

2Heat grill over medium high heat. In large bowl, mix beef, worcestershire sauce, dehydrated onion, parsley, salt & pepper.

3Divide beef mixture into 6 different portions; form into patties. Drizzle with olive oil. Cook burgers 5 minutes each side (medium).

4Place burgers on bottom roll/bun; top with onion dip, potato chips & a few pickle slices; top off with top roll/bun.
