Family Favorite Salisbury Steaks

My family has always loved this recipe for Salisbury Steak, which I make in an Electric Skillet, and usually serve with parsley,buttered egg noodles... It's a fast meal that you can stretch, depending on how many are going to be at the supper table....This was a once a week meal in the house when my kids were small, now they're in the 30 and 40 yr. range, and they still like it!..........Kay

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb
ground beef
2 medium
eggs
1 c
dry italian bread crumbs
1
envelope dry onion soup mix (lipton)
1 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup
3/4 can(s)
hot water
2 1/2 Tbsp
catsup
1 tsp
black pepper
1 pkg
wide egg noodles (16 oz)
1/2 c
butter......(a little oil, salt pepper & parsley)

Directions Step-By-Step

In lg. bowl...mix together ground beef, eggs, bread crumbs, 1/2 env. of dry onion soup mix (save other half for gravy) 1 tbs. of catsup, and black pepper to taste

form into oval shaped patties, and fry in skillet a few min on each side!......remove to platter while you make gravy in the same skillet with the cream of mush soup, other 1/2 of dry onion soup mix, water, catsup, and black pepper....mix together,till color darkens and bubbles a bit.....put patties back in skillet covering them with the gravy....lower heat, cover skillet, and cook till patties are done!

My husband and son used to like green beans saute'd in garlic and oil with this meal!.............enjoy! K.
