Gorgonzola and bacon are a great combo in this burger. The gorgonzola melts as it cooks through the beef. This burger is topped with sharp cheddar cheese slices. The sauce has bacon jam in it too. I hope y'all enjoy it as much as we do.
1Chop bacon into small pieces and add to ground beef. Mix well to combine. Separate into two equal size pieces. Flatten into patties. Add gorgonzola into centers and fold burger to cover gorgonzola. Flatten into patties. Spread one side of patty with sweet spicy mustard.
2Place burgers on skillet or grill mustard side up until browned. Flip and Cook burgers on a skillet or on the grill until done.
3Top with cheddar and turn off heat.Use a piece of foil to create a tent to allow the cheese to melt. Transfer to a holding plate.
4place buns split side down on pan and grill until golden and toasty.
5Mix mayonnaise and bacon jam together. Spread evenly over the two top buns.
