Dad's Vegetable Soup

If you taste a bowl every half hour, like my dad did, you have to add more ingredients as you cook.

Ingredients

beef cubes (browned)
hamburger
cabbage (chopped)
canned tomatoes (preferably with herbs)
carrots (sliced into round discs)
celery (cut into small pieces)
potatoes cut into small chunks
chopped onion
can of green beans
can of corn

Step-By-Step

1Brown beef cubes
Season to taste and cook cubes in water for 1 hour
using medium heat all the time during cooking
2Add carrots, cook 15 minutes
Add celery,onion, and cabbage
cook 15-20 minutes
3Add Hamburger, you can add it raw, or brown before, it cooks while the stew is cooking
Add some ketchup and Worchestershire sauce for seasoning
cook 15 minutes
4Add all the rest of ingredients, portions depend on how much you want to put in. Exact measurements were not given because it is up to you on how much you want.
Simmer until all is tender.
