Crockpot Beef & Noodles

I used beef stew meat and amish extra wide noodles..

Slow Cooker Crock Pot


2 lb
beef stew meat
1 pkg
of amish extra wide noodles
2 box
large boxes of beef broth
2 Tbsp
oil for searing meat
2 Tbsp
flour (to make a roux)
salt and pepper and 1 bay leaf
4 Tbsp
of minced onion


1turn crockpot on high, add 1 box of beef broth....
salt, pepper the stew meat and sear in the oil in a deep skillet, remove with a slotted spoon to the crockpot, reserving the oil to make a roux..
2add the flour to the oil in the skillet and whisk, whisk, whisk making a gravy roux, brown the roux, but do not burn it.Add the other box of beef broth and add it to the crockpot, add the onions and bay leaf, more salt and pepper to taste...
3also add water to fill the crockpot 3/4 full...cook for 4 hours til meat is tender then add the whole bag of noodles for 1-2 more hours...
