Saute chopped up beef in butter until the edges begin to curl. Blend in the flour and the pepper. Gradually add in the milk stirring constantly to remove any lumps of flour. Bring to a boil for approximately 1 minute, stirring constantly. Let simmer on very low heat until ready to serve.

I let it simmer and taste it before serving to see if it needs any salt. I toast the bread, plate it and ladle creamed beef over top, and serve. This is a rather easy meal with great flavor. Enjoy!

I do not add any salt to this dish because the meat and the butter already have salt. If you feel it needs salt make sure you don't add too much. *You can find the beef in the lunch meat section of your grocery store, or you can used jarred dried beef if you prefer that better. For a larger batch just double the recipe.
