Ingredients For country meatball ragout

  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/3 c
    bread crumbs
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken soup with herbs
  • 1 can
    beef broth. don't use chicken broth or it won't taste right
  • 1 pkg
    frozen veggies, i use broccoli, cauliflower and carrots
  • 1 can
    chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp
    each basil and thyme
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/4 c
    flour

How To Make country meatball ragout

  • 1
    Mix beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion and salt. Shape into meatballs
  • 2
    In large skillet brown meatballs in oil. Pour off fat.
  • 3
    Add remaining ingredients EXCEPT water and flour and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • 4
    Gradually blend water into flour until smooth. Slowly stir into stew. Cook, stirring until thickened. Serve.
