Ingredients

onions, sliced
2.5 lb
beef brisket
1 c
apple juice
1/4 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tsp
orange peel, finely shredded
2 tsp
prepared mustard

whole cloves

cabbage wedges

Step-By-Step

1Place onions in crockpot.

2Trim away any fat that might be present on the brisket.

3If needed, cut brisket to fit into crockpot; place on top of onions.

4In a bowl, combine apple juice, sugar, orange peel, mustard, and cloves; pour over brisket.

5Place cabbage on top of brisket.

6Cover; cook on low setting for 10 to 12 hours or high setting for 5 - 6 hours.
