Cornbread Pie

Ingredients

1 c
yellow cornmeal
2
eggs
1 c
milk
1/2 tsp
baking soda
3/4 tsp
salt
1 can(s)
cream-style corn
1 lb
ground beef
1 large
finely chopped onion
1/2 lb
shredded cheddar cheese

Step-By-Step

1In a medium mixing bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients.
2Blend thoroughly.
3In a skillet, brown beef and onion; drain.
4In a greased baking dish, spread 1/2 the cornbread mixture.
5Cover this with all of the meat mixture.
6Sprinkle meat with cheese.
7Top with remaining cornbread mixture.
8Bake at 375 degrees for about 45 minutes, or until done.
9If desired, spread butter or margarine on top.
