Ingredients

1 1/2 lb
ground beef
1 pkg
taco seasoning
1/2 can(s)
water
12 oz
whole kernel corn, vacuum-packed drained
1/2 c
green bell pepper chopped
8 oz
tomato sauce
1 pkg
cornbread mix
1 can(s)
french fried onions
1/3 c
shredded cheddar cheese

Step-By-Step

1Brown meat; drain.

2Stir in next 5 ingredients; pour into a 8x12 inch baking dish.

3Prepare cornbread mix according to package directions, except add 1/2 can french fried onions.

4Spoon around outer edge of casserole.

5Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

6Top with remaining onions and cheese.

7Bake for 2 to 3 minutes longer.
