No one in my family growing up were ever seafood lovers, so this is a chowder with beef & red sauce instead. It's even better after it's been in the refrigerator for a few days!

Ingredients

1 1/2 c
elbow macaroni, uncooked
1 lb
ground beef
1 small
onion, chopped
1
green pepper, chopped
14 oz
can of petite diced tomatoes, undrained
14 oz
can of kidney beans, drained
1 jar(s)
ragu spaghetti sauce, traditional flavor
sugar

Step-By-Step

1Brown meat. Sautee onion with meat about five minutes. Drain.

2Return meat & onions to pot. Add sauce, tomatoes, green pepper, kidney beans & a pinch of sugar. Check taste to see if it's salty/sweet enough. Cook on low for 2 hours.

3Add uncooked macaroni. Cook another 30 minutes on low.
