Chili always does the trick for me.It warms me up and it is also good on a hotdog with coleslaw or even nachos,as well as on a loaded baked potato with cheese, sour cream, and chives,or just by itself with oyster crackers on the side.

1/2 cchopped green onion

1/2 lblean ground beef or ground turkey breast

2 Tbsphot chili powder

128-oz.can fire-roasted diced tomatoes

115-oz.can black beans,rinsed and drained

1 mdbell pepper,cored,seeded and diced

4carrots,peeled and grated

1/2 tspbrown sugar

pincha pinch of salt
How To Make chili goodness

1In a large saucepan,heat the oil over medium heat.Add the garlic and green onion and cook for about 1 minute.Add the ground beef and cook until browned,about (5) minutes.

2Stir in the chili powder until fully combined.Add the tomatoes,beans,bell pepper,carrots,brown sugar and salt.Bring the mixture to a boil,then reduce the heat to low.Cover and simmer the chili for (15) minutes.add to bowls serve as is or top with shredded cheese fresh chives and sour cream.

3serves(6).Each serving is (183)calories,if you do not top the chili with shredded cheese.
