Ingredients For cheesy meltdown cheesesteak casserole

  • 2 c
    uncooked long-grain and wild rice
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    diced red onion
  • 3/4 c
    chopped green bell pepper
  • 1
    packet taco seasoning mix
  • 2 c
    french fried onions
  • 3 1/2 c
    cooked,sliced sirloin steaks(about 3 steaks)
  • 1 c
    shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 1 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 c
    shredded colby jack cheese
  • 1/2 c
    shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 can
    condensed cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 c
    crumbled cooked bacon bits
  • 3/4 c
    crumbled blue cheese

How To Make cheesy meltdown cheesesteak casserole

    In a saucepan bring water to a boil.Add rice and stir. Reduce heat,cover and simmer for 20 minutes.Set aside.

    Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a medium skillet over medium heat;saute onion and bell pepper until soft.Season with taco seasoning

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.Add french fried onions.

    Combine the steak,rice,onion and bell pepper in a prepared baking dish.Stir in cheeses,soup and bacon;mix well.top with crumbled blue cheese.Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes,until the cheeses are bubbly.
