we made these when I was a little girl in girlscouts. they are fun to make and are good. kids like making them and keeping track of their own "pouch" as it sits next to the fire.

    sliced, clean potato
  • 1
    carrot, sliced
  • 1/2
    small onion, sliced
  • 2 or 3 oz
    ground beef, broken
  • salt and pepper
  • enough foil to make a pouch,

How To Make campfire gypsy stew

    lay out a square of foil, big enough to hold ingredients
  • 2
    place all the ingredients onto foil, seperating the onion to distribute evenly. salt and pepper everything.

    fold up pouch so it won't come apart while cooking.

    place at the edge of a campfire, or on the grill. and cook at least 45 minutes, according to what type and how hot the fire it. turn pouch over halfway thru cooking time.
