Fooled a good friend with this one a long time ago. She has never forgiven me for feeding her venison. But that's what she got for breaking into my lunch!

Ingredients

1 lb
ground venison, ground beef or shredded meat
1 1/2 c
finely shredded cabbage
1 medium
onion, chopped
1 stick
celery, chopped
1/4 c
green pepper, chopped
1 c
catsup
3 Tbsp
brown sugar
2 Tbsp
lemon juice
1 Tbsp
white vinegar
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp
mustard
1 tsp
salt
dash(es)
pepper
8
sandwich rolls

Step-By-Step

1In a large skillet, cook the ground meat, cabbage, onion, celery and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink and vegetables are crisp-tender; drain.

NOTE: If using shredded meat, pre-cook and add to skillet after vegetables have cooked.
2Stir in the catsup, brown sugar, lemon juice, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until cabbage is tender. Spoon ½ cup onto each roll.
