While in Germany, all us wives of the airmen there spent lots of time trading recipes and also just making some up. This one is one we just made up and it turned out very tasty.

Ingredients For cabbage-hamburger casserole

1 lbground hamburger or ground chuck

1 mdonion, sliced very thin

1 smhead of cabbage

4-5 tspbutter, cold

2-3 mdpotatoes, sliced thin
How To Make cabbage-hamburger casserole

1In a deep baking dish, such as corning ware, layer as follows: hamburger, potatoes, cabbage, onion and repeat to top of baking dish, ending with cabbage; salt and pepper, dot with butter and add about 1/4 cup water and bake at 350 til done...about30-45 minutes.
