1 1/2 lbbeef sirloin, boneless cut into strips

1chopped onion

1 Tbspoil

2-3splashes of hot pepper sauce

1/4 tspcardamon, ground

1/2 tspturmeric, ground

1/2 tsppepper
-
1 tspsalt

3/4 Tbspginger root, minced

1/4 cdry white wine
-
2garlic cloves, halved
-
jalapeno chile peppers, seeded and finely chopped

1red bell pepper, sliced
-
1red bell pepper, chopped

hot cooked rice
How To Make beef in pepper sauce

1Place the chopped red pepper, jalapeno, garlic, wine, ginger, salt, pepper, turmeric, cardamom and hot sauce in a blender on medium-high speed until smoothly blended.

2Heat the butter and the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until hot.

3Add the beef and cook until most of the liquid has been rendered and meat is browned on all sides, about 3 to 4 minutes.

4Remove the beef and keep warm.

5Add the onion and red pepper strips to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 3 minutes.

6Return the beef to the skillet and add the blender mixture.

7Heat to boiling, then reduce the heat and simmer uncovered until the beef is hot and the sauce is slightly thickened.

8Serve over rice or stuffed into pitas, with rice on the side.
