Beef and Wine Casserole

Prepare this early, pop it in the oven and enjoy visiting with your guests or family while it cooks. Makes you look like a hostess with the mostest because you're relaxed and cool as a cucumber! Fix a salad beforehand and have it in the fridge all ready too. The only last minute preparation is to cook some rice or noodles. Voila!

dry red wine

campbell's beef consomme
2/3 tsp
1/8 tsp
black pepper
1 tsp
thyme, dried
1 tsp
minced garlic
1 medium
onion sliced
1 can(s)
mushrooms (drained)
1/4 c
plain flour
1/4 c
dried bread crumbs
1 c
baby carrots

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine beef, wine, consomme, salt, pepper,garlic, onions, mushrooms and carrots in greased casserole dish. Mix flour and bread crumbs thoroughly and stir into the meat mixture. Cook at 300 degrees (covered) for 3 hours. Serve over hot cooked white rice or egg noodles. ENJOY! The recipe serves 4 using 1 lb. of beef. Of course, you can always double this for more people or to have leftovers.
