I used to work at a restaurant who served their burritos deep fried and topped with american cheese and chili. They were crispy and so good! Of course, you can buy your frozen burritos premade, for a really quick meal.
Add Taco seasoning and water to beef. Cook until water is absorbed.
Heat refried beans in saucepan.
Heat flour tortillas in skillet or microwave to soften.
Assemble individual burritos by spreading beans, gound chuck and shredded cheese on top of tortilla. Roll up and tuck ends. Note, Variation: This photo shows a corn tortilla added after the refried beans.
Wrap in plastic wrap or ziplock bag and store in the freezer until frozen & ready to cook.
TO COOK: Remove frozen burrito from the freezer. Deep fry in hot oil until crispy & done about 3-5 minutes on each side. Remove from oil and place on paper towels. Lightly salt, if desired.
TO SERVE: Top with 1 slice of American cheese and cover with chili.
