Ingredients

1 qt. brussels sprouts (prepared for cooking)
1 1/2 C. boiling water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 Tbs. lemon juice (may substitute tarragon vinegar)
1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Directions Step-By-Step

Place sprouts in a saucepan with water and salt. Cover and boil gently for 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain, then season with pepper, lemon juice and nutmeg; serve.
