Use fresh herbs in preference to the dry. And when using the dry, make sure they haven't been sitting on a shelf for months. An old herb adds about as much character to a salad as dried grass.

Ingredients For garlic herb dressing

  • 1 Clove garlic (peeled and crushed)
  • 1/2 tsp Tarragon
  • 1/2 tsp Marjoram
  • 1/2 tsp Powdered mustard
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper
  • 1/4 C Olive oil
  • 2 Tbs Red wine vinegar

How To Make garlic herb dressing

    Shake all ingredients in a small jar with a tight fitting lid and let stand at room temperature at least 1 hour. Shake again and use to dress any crisp green salad.
