There is really no hard set rule as to how much of what you want to use in this mix. You can make as many cups of chocolate as you need and go from there. I'd let everyone add there own spice and sugar. It's been suggested that a bit of rum wouldn't be amiss but I haven't tried it. I'm happy with it the way it is.

Ingredients For 5 spice hot chocolate

  • 8 oz
    of your favorite hot chocolate
  • 2 tsp
    sugar or to taste
  • 1 tsp
    5 spice or as much as you want really
  • whipped cream for garnish
  • 1 pinch
    5 spice for garnish

How To Make 5 spice hot chocolate

  • 1
    Make you hot chocolate to your taste (I love bittersweet)

    While the hot chocolate is making place the 5 spice into your cup along with the sugar if you haven't already put sugar in the chocolate.

    Pour the hot chocolate into your cup over the spice and sugar and stir well to blend in the spice and dissolve the sugar.

    Top with whipped cream and another pinch of 5 spice and enjoy with a smile.
