Thick Banana Oatmeal Creamy Smoothie

What a treat! I have these for breakfast of a quick lunch on the go. The oatmeal makes it thick and the banana makes it sweet, but not too sweet. Sometimes I add a protein powder for that extra boost in the morning or when I do not have nuts. This makes one generous serving.

Ingredients

banana
2 1/2 c
ice cubes
2 Tbsp
heaping tbsp plain yogurt
4 Tbsp
rounded tbsp cooked plain quick oatmeal
2 Tbsp
almonds
1 tsp
(optional) honey

Directions Step-By-Step

Crush 1/2 cup ice in blender. crush another 1/2 cup ice with yogurt. Add banana and 1/2 cup ice. Add remaining ice a little at a time. Add oatmeal and blend and add almonds.

Note:
You can serve like this or on top of 4 cubes of ice or so if you would like.
