Ingredients

2 Tbsp
walnuts (or pistachios, almonds, hazelnuts, etc.)
2 Tbsp
rolled oats
3/4 c
milk or unsweetened milk substitute (coconut, rice, soy, etc.)
1/2 Tbsp
instant espresso powder
pinch
salt
1/4 tsp
vanilla extract
1-2 Tbsp
real maple syrup
2
dried dates, pitted and cut up into small pieces
1/2 c
crushed ice, approximately

Directions Step-By-Step

Place the walnuts (or nuts of choice) and the rolled oats in a blender and PULSE until ground to a fine powder.

Add all of the remaining ingredients (except for the crushed ice) and process until smooth. Now add the ice, and BLEND for 1 full minute. Note: the dates will not blend completely and you'll end up with little pieces of dates in the bottom of your glass. A sweet treat to look forward to!
