My grandmother used to make the most amazing cherry pies, which is probably why I adore tart cherries! This is a healthy and easy way to get my fix =) With the pineapple juice and vanilla protein powder, this is usually plenty sweet for me, but you can always add some sweetener if you like.
milk (your preferred variety; i use almond)
yogurt (i use plain lowfat or greek)
canned tart cherries with juice
scoop vanilla protein powder
1Put all ingredients except for protein powder into blender, process until smooth.
2With blender running at lowest speed, slowly add protein powder. (I find this is the best way to keep the powder from sticking to the sides of the blender.)
