This wonderful and refreshing punch was inspired by my love of cranberry salad. It is quick and easy to make and can be frozen till ready to use, just slightly thaw and pour in the soda. The beautiful red color makes it perfect for the holidays and is a festive addition to any buffet ! My Grandmother Elsea always made this punch minus the cranberry juice, it is very good to .

A simple but elegant ice ring can be made by adding a single layer of oranges in a bundt pan or angel food pan.* OR * You can continue adding to it : Pour about an inch of ice cold water over the oranges. Freeze till firm. Then add a layer of cranberries and mint leaves to form bunches, around the ring. Add about a 1/2 inch layer of ice cold water and freeze till firm, repeat two more layers. (use ice cold water so the finished ring is clear and not cloudy )
