I have had this recipte for so many years that I don't remember who it originally came from. But for large gatherings it is great and you can make it up to 6 months in advance and freeze it. Very handy!

Ingredients For reception punch

  • 1 lg
    can of pineapple juice
  • 4 c
    sugar
  • 6 c
    water
  • 2-12 oz
    cans frozen orange juice, thawed
  • 12 oz
    can frozen lemonade, thawed
  • 5
    ripe mashed bananas
  • 4-6 qt
    ginger ale, chilled

How To Make reception punch

  • 1
    Heat pineapple juice, sugar and water until sugar is dissolved. Place juices and bananas in blender. Mix all ingredients and freeze for a minimum 24 hours.

    One hour before serving, scoop out frozen mixture in punch bowl with ice cream scoop. Add chilled ginger ale. (Can use 7-up, sprite, etc.)

    Keeps frozen for 6 months

    Can also make smaller amounts as needed when company comes for a visit. Wonderful to have in your freezer.
