This is a good switch up from regular iced tea, plus you get some vitamins with it. This is similar to my sister-in-law's spiced tea. But, this recipe is from "Simple Diabetes Recipes". But, you don't have to be a diabetic to drink it.

Ingredients For southern spiced tea

  • 6 c
    boiling water
  • 3 Tbsp
    black tea
  • 1 stick
    cinnamon, for flavoring tea. more sticks, for garnish, if desired.
  • 1 c
    orange juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 c
    sugar or more, if desired or splenda

How To Make southern spiced tea

  • 1
    Pour the boiling water over the tea and cinnamon. Steep for 10 minutes.

    Strain the tea and add the remaining ingredients. The tea can be served hot or cold. Use cinnamon sticks as garnish, if desired.
