1Place the onions and honey in a small pot and bring to a simmer. Simmer on medium-low for 20 minutes.
2Strain the onions over a bowl to capture the onion-honey mixture.
3Push the onion around a bit and press down with a spoon to squeeze out any excess moisture.
4What remains in the bowl is your homemade cough and cold syrup! Place in a sealed container and use as needed. The onions may then be eaten as is, or tossed in your favorite recipe!
