2 cwater, divided use

1/2 csplenda or to taste

1 cfreshly squeezed lemon juice

3 1/2 cice

1/2 cfresh mint leaves

1/2 cfresh mint leaves

6 sprigfresh mint, for garnish (optional)
How To Make limonana – frozen mint lemonade, diabetic

1In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of water and sugar till the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and allow to cool. In a blender, combine the sugar water, fresh lemon juice, ice, fresh mint leaves and remaining 1 cup of water

2Pulse for a few seconds, then blend for 1 minute till the ice is thoroughly crushed and the drink becomes thick and slushy. Taste it. This recipe produces a mildly sweet limonana, which is the way it's usually served. If you would like it sweeter simply add more Splenda to taste and blend again. Pour into cold glasses and serve. Garnish with sprigs of mint, if desired.
