I love me some hot chocolate on a cold winter's day. I got this recipe from a friend a while back. It is divine! It makes a big batch of dry hot chocolate but it is so worth it. You can store it for yourself or give it out as gifts in a cute Christmas container. I love it because you can change up what flavoring of coffee mate you want to use. French Vanilla and hazel nut are favorite. I like to also crush up peppermint sticks and mix it in the dry mix. The longer it is in there the stronger the flavor is. Every time I give this to someone they call me for the recipe. Enjoy!

Ingredients

25.6 oz
box of dry powdered milk
2 lb
box of nestle hot chocolate powder ( if you can't find nestle's then swissmiss is fine too!)
8 oz
jar of any flavor of coffee mate powder
1 1/2 c
powdered sugar

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Mix all ingredients together in a LARGE bowl. Keep in a sealed container.
2
To make the hot chocolate: use 1/3 cup of mix to 1 cup of hot water.

Leah, I just finished mixing up this cocoa and I love it ! I couldn't find the 2lb box of swiss miss but it was really close. Then I decided to add the whole 16 oz of french vanilla coffee creamer and omitted the powdered sugar to compensate. It is so good and creamy, my family loves it. At a little Amish store I found a huge bad of little tiny "dehydrated" marshmallows and added that also. perfection.....5 stars

Melissa, I just made this recipe and I used 2 of the round containers of cocoa. Mine were not exactly 2lbs but they were close so I just improvised a little. I used a whole can of vanilla coffee creamer and it was just yummy. Mine filled a 16 cup plastic container to the top ! (I didn't add the powdered sugar because of the extra vanilla creamer and it was just right) tweak to your liking. I am sure Leah would approve ! :)
