My sister thinks there is a big secret to making my tea but it's not. The main thing is not to get it too sweet and mix it while it's hot. This tea seems to be just right.

Ingredients For gail's iced tea/hot tea

  • 5 c
    water divided
  • 3
    lipton, tea bags, regular size
  • slight 2/3 c
    sugar, just below 2/3 cup mark

How To Make gail's iced tea/hot tea

    Bring 2 1/2 cups water to boil in small saucepan
  • 2
    Add 3 regular sized Lipton Tea Bags. Let boil for 3 minutes.

    Cover and let steep for 1-2 minutes.

    Add sugar to 2 qt pitcher.

    Pour in hot tea. Stir well.

    Add the remaining 2 1/2 cups of water. Stir well.

    Cover until ready to serve over ice and lemon, if desired. Good as a cup of hot tea, too!
