I found this one on the box of Lipton tea. It was just so unique that I just had to try it. Wow! was I glad I did. It is almost Chai-like in it's taste, warming, with a bit of Christmasy overlay. We both loved it and will be having it often.

Ingredients For hot and spicy chocolate tea

  • 1 c
    milk (1%, low fat or regular)
  • 1 c
    water
  • 2
    regular or decaf single serving tea bags
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar or to taste
  • 1/8 tsp
    each: cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger
  • 1 tsp
    chocolate syrup (see option below if using baking chocolate powder)

How To Make hot and spicy chocolate tea

    Bring milk and water just to a boil in a sauce pan. remove from heat add tea bags and steep 5 minutes, remove tea bags and add remaining ingredients, stir and serve.

    Option with baking chocolate powder instead of chocolate syrup Put 3/4 tsp baking chocolate powder with the sugar, spices and two tablespoons water in a microwave safe bowl and mic for 30 seconds. add to recipe after taking out the tea bags
