Straw's' Story

This is a diet we used to go on back in the 1960's....I got it back out in the 80's and went on it again, then again somewhere in the 90's, I went on it again.

I'm thinking of trying it again. I lost weight everytime I've ever gone on it, anywhere from 5 to 9 pounds.

You can only stay on it for 2-days at a time (peroid, remember that)...then go off it for a few days (or a week) and then go on it another 2-days.

If I'm not mistaken (and it was a long time ago, I now have ''AllTimers'') anyway, I think it was written back in 1967 by a nurse at a hospital.

Ingredients

if you stick to this diet ''as written'' for the 2 days - you can lose 5 to 6 pounds
the meals for this diet are the same for both days
be sure you follow this part:
no salt
no seasonings
no sweeteners
no carbonated beverages

Directions Step-By-Step

You MUST only eat/drink what is on this list for it to work
2

I love this diet. I had about 20 pounds to lose which is the most I ever had to lose. I did this diet about 12 days ago and lost 5 pounds. I am now on day 2 of doing it again and I lost 2 pounds the first day hoping for 2 or 3 more by tomorrow. I did use a little skim milk and sweetener in my coffee and some fried eggs cooked in pam spray for some of the eggs. I subtracted half of one of the yolks of a hard boiled egg t make up for the skim mlilk in coffee. I did not have coffee for dinner but I did have it for the other two meals. The days in between I ate 1000 calories to maintain and had two chest days where i did not count but I did not go crazy. I love this diet.

Out of curiosity I read all the comments on this recipe. I see that Susan Matthews said she was going on the diet and would report back in two days. That comment was posted on April 16, 2013 and this is October 5, 2013...more than two days have passed and I don't see her results posted! LOL. Maybe she couldn't stick to the diet...or maybe she didn't like the results; but I'd be curious to know what happened. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Susan Matthews, livingthegoodlife, HOW DID IT WORK FOR YOU????? 10/05/13

This is pretty much a jump start. A one time thing. What it is actually doing is flushing you out so you mainly are losing water weight.
I do this diet usually a few days before an event to look better in what I am wearing.
This is not a diet. It is only a two day flush.
Hope that helps in understanding the concept better.

When on this 2-day plan, what does one eat the other 5 days? Are there any restrictions for those days? Do you exercise at all? Or is it simply the protein meals and water for 2 days? Oh and can the "diet" days be any of the 7 days and how many weeks were you on this plan? Or were you lucky enough to lose 5-9 lbs in one week?
