Ingredients For irish hot chocolate

  • 3 Tbsp
    unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 c
    plus 2 tablespoons sugar
  • dash
    salt
  • 1/4 c
    hot water
  • 3 c
    milk
  • 6 Tbsp
    irish whiskey
  • sweetened whipped cream

How To Make irish hot chocolate

  • 1
    Combine cocoa, sugar, and salt in medium saucepan; blend in water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils; boil and stir 2 minutes. Add milk. Stir and heat to serving temperature; do not boil. Remove from heat. Pour 1 tablespoon whiskey into each of six 6 ounce cups or goblets. Add hot cocoa; stir. Top with sweetened whipped cream. Serve immediately.
