Ingredients For strawberry basil lemonade

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 lb
    strawberries sliced
  • 1/2 c
    lightly packed fresh basil leaves, chiffonade
  • 2 c
    fresh lemon juice
  • ice for serving
  • sliced lemons for garnish
  • 1 1/2 c
    vodka( totally optional )

How To Make strawberry basil lemonade

  • 1
    Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add sugar and stir until it dissolves. Add the strawberries and the basil and continue to simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let sleep until completely cool.

    Strain and discard solids. In a 1 gallon container, add lemon juice, 14 cups of cold water and the strawberry basil syrup. Stir until well mixed. Pour the lemonade over ice and sertve with a slice of lemon.
