I was fortunate enough to have gotten this recipe years ago. I have served it to all my guests and given bottles for gifts. Rave reviews are 100%. I also included my Kahlua recipe. Both of these are real money savers, which many of us need about now...

Ingredients For tia maria (homemade)

4 cwater

4 cwhite sugar

3/4 cinstant coffee (fresh jar)

1vanilla bean

4 crum (bottom shelf is fine)
How To Make tia maria (homemade)

1Bring water and sugar until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat.

2Add coffee granules slowly, continually stirring. Add rum. Slit vanilla bean down the center with a knife and add to the mixture.

3Cover tightly and shake or stir each day for approximately three weeks. It does taste beter by waiting, but up to you...
